There was no visable signs of damage to the box. I can't tell in my case if it's because of the packaging or something else. This keyboard has a nice bounce to the keys, and it's very slightly bent on a curve, but since it`s not wobbly I'm assuming that this is part of the Apple design (gotta compare with the old keyboard too). Well, I am adding myself to the number of happy customers. The spill sped up replacing the keyboard (I will replace the iMac soon, but not that soon), and, considering the number of satisfied orders and positive reviews, I placed my order. The old keyboard had accumulated some dirt and dust, so it didn't look to sexy and the keys were a bit too soft to the touch. My son spilled water on the original 2008 keyboard that came with my iMac.

I'm hoping these refurbished units will have at least 5 years of life left in them. I was really pleased to find these on Amazon and I'll probably buy a couple more as backups for when my other keyboards eventually give up the ghost. I love the design and feel of the sadly discontinued wired Apple keyboard, and I haven't been able to find any third party replacement that feels anywhere near as good for the vast amount of entry that I do daily. I ordered 2 of these refurbished keyboards to replace a couple of existing Apple keyboards where some of the keys were non-functional. UPDATE: As far as I can tell, the only difference between the "A" version and the "B" version is the F-4 key. I dare anyone to find the model number anywhere on the keyboard, certainly not on the bottom corner. Funny, I had my old keyboard for 6 years and never looked at the bottom, so I never used them! This is the A version, and has two USB ports on the bottom. I have no idea what the difference between a MB110LL/A and a MB 110LL/B is and neither does Apple, it seems. The only evidence it was refurbished was a small card inserted in the box.Ĭame wrapped in a plastic bag, twist ties on the cable, just like new, new. Even the box was an Apple box and said "new". I bought the four year warrantee for a couple bucks extra. So, I could buy the refurb for $54 or a new one from the big auction site for $99. I like the big keyboard not because of the number keys, but because it has a real "delete" key, not the usual "backspace" that Apple thinks is delete. (God help me I went to an Apple Store in the Mall the week before Christmas.) I learned the employees know almost nothing about computers because they're all 20 years old and look "wired".
